My good friends at TREW went through a radical transition this season, going from being a vendor–supplying brick-and-mortar and online retailers–to an online-only direct sales model that offers better value to the customer. As a result, the gear is better than ever, but the prices have actually dropped, which is not what you’d expect. Throughout the transition, some things have remained the same–thankfully, their reliance on me for killer content is one of those things. As always, TREW is putting out great designs, and this year they’ve introduced down insulation and a second outerwear line specifically for backcountry touring. Killer work, gentlemen.
